Devitt Scooter Insurance are specialists in motorcycle and scooter insurance and have been since 1936.

In 1936, the Devitt name was established as a leading motorcycle Insurance Broker and the unique selling point was to offer motorbike and scooter insurance via local dealers.

The scheme, known as Devitt DA (DA stood for Dealer Association), meant that customers could go to their local dealer, buy a bike, then arrange insurance and ride off the same day.

In 1993, moving with the times, Devitt launched its direct operation allowing the purchase of insurance over the phone.

Now Devitt look after the insurance of over 130,000 customers and in 2003 were bought by The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

Today, Devitt has around 350 employees that operate from our office premises in Romford, Essex and Ipswich, Suffolk and they have expanded into other areas of insurance, including car and home insurance.
